Dawn Ahukanna
Biography
A creative technologist, collaborator, fascinated about how people relate to technology, and exploring ways to deliver value at the intersection of design and technology.
Dawn leads integrated and consistent user-focused design across the IBM Technical Lifecycles Services business division, designing cognitive and data analysis experiences within the product portfolio.
She's a domain expert in User experience design practice, Front-End systems architecture, collaborative Design Thinking coach and facilitator. Started her career as a Chemical Engineer, taking things apart at the atomic level and figuring out how they worked. Then simulating and emulating abstract models by developing and programming software. Finally progressing to figuring out how people work, without taking them apart or simulating, as a Design Principal and Front-End Architect.
She's a speaker and panelist at design and development events, Design Thinking mentor within communities, academic and professional circles, and published contributor on visual collaboration methods.
